Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-FL) will be honored with the Diversity Champion Award from the Urban League of Broward County on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 6:00 PM during the Urban League’s annual Red Gala event. The gala will take place at the Broward County Convention Center at 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate efficacy in creating, increasing, and incorporating diversity strategies into normal business practices.
Congressman Alcee L. Hastings serves as Senior Member of the House Rules Committee, Ranking Democratic Member of the U.S. Helsinki Commission, and Co-Chairman of the Florida Delegation. ###
