Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-Miramar) will testify before the Subcommittee on Disability Assistance & Memorial Affairs of the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs on Thursday, July 7 at 1:30 PM in room 334 of the Cannon House Office Building, regarding H.R. 932, the Veterans Pensions Protection Act of 2011. On March 3, 2011, Hastings introduced H.R. 923, which protects veterans from losing their pension benefits because they received payments to cover expenses incurred after an accident, theft, loss or casualty loss.
